Warren County finished its football campaign 4-7 last season, but according to Head Coach Marleau Blount, it could've easily gone better.
Five of the Screaming Devils' losses came by a combined 11 points.
Some of that may have been caused by inexperience throughout the roster. Another part was the lack of a reliable kicking game.
Blount says this year, the close ones will go his way.
"Last year we were in some close games with some really good teams, and we just didn't know how to pull it out in the end. Since we have a lot of experience now, especially at the quarterback position, we'll pull some of those wins out."
Senior Running Back Colby Reynolds added, "We need to come together and play as one. If we play as one this year, we'll pull out a lot of wins this year."
The experience on the roster helped the off season program as well. Coach Blount says 30-35 players showed up for summer training sessions.
