Washington County falls in state title game to Calhoun

Updated: 12/13/2014 - Calhoun scored on a 40-yard double-reverse pass from Baylon Spector to Carson Brown early in the fourth quarter and defeated Washington County, 27-20, to win the Georgia High School Association Class AAA state football title on Friday night at the Georgia Dome.

Washington County's AJ Gray named Gatorade Georgia player of the year

Posted: 12/04/2014 - In its 30th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with USA TODAY High School Sports, today announced A.J. Gray of Washington County High School as its 2014-15 Gatorade Georgia Football Player of the Year. Gray is the second Gatorade Georgia Football Player of the Year to be chosen from Washington County High School.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt football ruled eligible for title game

Updated: 12/02/2014 - Bamberg-Ehrhardt will play for a football state championship. The South Carolina High School League completed its investigation in to the eligibility of a Red Raider player, and ruled the school is eligible to play in the A-Division 1 title game.
