TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Hines Ward is expected to practice today as Pittsburgh continues preparing for Sunday's Super Bowl showdown with Arizona. The Steelers wide receiver sat out yesterday with a small brace on his injured right knee, although he did do some running and cutting on a side field. Coach Mike Tomlin says simply that "Hines is playing" Sunday.
Today's workout at the University of South Florida will be the Steelers' final full-scale practice before appearing in the NFL's title game for the second time in four seasons.
Cardinals' running back J.J. Arrington returned to practice yesterday after sitting out all of last week with a sore right knee. The former Cal standout became an increasingly important part of Arizona's offense as the season progressed.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt says his team is trying to stick to its regular practice routine at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' facility, despite the unusual nature of Super Bowl week. He says the Cards' practice tempo is as good as it's been all season.
