SAN DIEGO (AP) -- San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

The California Highway Patrol says Jackson failed sobriety tests shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday on state Route 52, west of Interstate 805. Jackson's blood alcohol level was unknown.

The CHP said Jackson was taken to a San Diego County sheriff's department detention facility and released. The Chargers visit Pittsburgh in a playoff game Sunday.
