ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -- Sean Taylor will be inducted into the Washington Redskins Ring of Fame this month, following the first anniversary of his death.
Taylor will be honored during a pregame ceremony before the Nov. 30 home game against the NFC East-rival New York Giants. The two-time Pro Bowl safety died at the age of 24 on Nov. 27, 2007, a day after he was shot by an intruder at his home in Miami.
Taylor played four seasons with the Redskins after Washington selected him with the Number 5 overall pick in the 2004 draft. Taylor will become the 43rd name on the Ring of Fame, which honors those who have made distinguished contributions to the Redskins. The ceremony will feature a tribute to Taylor, messages from former teammates and a presentation of a plaque to members of Taylor's family.
