Saturday, November 1 , 2008. (AP) -- A late meltdown by second-round leader Ryan Palmer gives Michael Letzig sole possession of the lead after three rounds of this week's PGA Tour event in Florida.
Letzig birdied two of his last four holes en route to a 2-under-par 70. He's 7-under after 54 holes and one clear of second place with 18 holes to play.
Palmer fell out of the lead by bogeying three of his final four holes and signed for an even-par 72. He's tied for second with Kenneth Ferrie and John Huston, who carded 67 and 70, respectively.
This is the next-to-last event of the PGA Tour season.
