Monday, October 13, 2008. (AP) -- Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Big Brown will likely miss the Breeders' Cup Classic after injuring his right front foot during a workout at Aqueduct on Monday.

Trainer Rick Dutrow says the 3-year-old colt appeared to kick himself while working on the turf course at Aqueduct with stablemate Kip Deville. Big Brown was able to complete the six-furlong work when Dutrow noticed blood coming out of the foot.

Dutrow said he's not sure how badly the foot is injured but said it doesn't look like Big Brown will travel to Santa Anita for the Breeders' Cup in less than two weeks.

The Classic was expected to be Big Brown's final race before he was retired to stud.
