NEW YORK (AP) -- Top-seeded Ana Ivanovic is out of the U.S. Open.
In one of the biggest upsets in tennis history, Ivanovic lost to
188th-ranked Julie Coin 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 Thursday.

Not since 1967 had the No. 1 woman lost in the second round of
the U.S. Open. There was no way to see this coming -- Coin spent
much of the year playing in minor league events, and needed to play
a qualifying tournament just to make it this far.

But the 25-year-old Frenchwoman played like a champion at Arthur
Ashe Stadium, and screamed when Ivanovic's last shot sailed out.
