Saturday, August 23, 2008. (AP) -- Tanner Tokunaga doubled home two
runs with the bases loaded with two outs to cap a six-run sixth that gave Hawaii a come-from-behind 7-5 win Saturday over Louisiana to advance to the Little League World Series title game.
Waipahu, Hawaii, trailed 5-1 entering the sixth before its dramatic rally. Caleb Duhay scampered home from third with the bases loaded with the tying run after Lake Charles, La., first baseman Gunner Leger lost track of Christian Donahue's tough grounder.
Tokunaga's game-winning hit scored Jedd Andrade and Keelen Obedoza.
Hawaii will play Matamoros, Mexico, for the World Series championship after Mexico defeated Tokyo, 5-4, earlier Sunday.
