Saturday, August 23, 2008. (AP) -- Make it four in a row for the U.S. women's basketball team. The Americans handily beat Australia 92-65 to cap another successful Olympic run.
In a game where the outcome was never in doubt, Kara Lawson led the scoring with 15 points. Lisa Leslie and Candace Parker added 14 each.
Leslie ended her Olympic career with her fourth straight gold medal. She joins former teammate Teresa Edwards as the only basketball players to win four Olympic golds.
This is the third straight win over Australia by the U.S. in an Olympic final. All three victories were by double digit margins.
