NEW YORK (AP) -- Triple Crown contender Big Brown has missed two days of training with a slight injury to his left front foot, but
trainer Rick Dutrow Junior says it's not going to be an
issue.

With the Belmont Stakes in less than two weeks, Dutrow says it's
better that the injury happened now and that they'll be able to fix
him up. The injury was detected by Dutrow on Friday, and the trainer
summoned hoof specialist Ian McKinlay, who had treated the Kentucky
Derby and Preakness winner for more serious front foot issues late
last year. McKinlay says he'll have a better idea tomorrow when Big Brown can return to training after treatment.

McKinlay says the injury is not serious and should not prevent
Big Brown from attempting to become the first Triple Crown champion
since Affirmed in 1978.
