PALM COAST, Fla. (AP) -- Bernhard Langer won the Ginn
Championship for his second Champions Tour victory in three starts.
The German carded a 1-under-par 71 in windy conditions in Palm
Coast, Florida, for an eight-stroke victory over Lonnie Nielsen and
Tim Simpson.

With the wind off the Atlantic Ocean blowing a sustained 25
miles per hour and the temperature in the 50s, Langer posted one of
three under-par rounds on the day to finish at 12-under. It's his
third win in 11 career starts on the Champions Tour.

Langer takes the lead on the money list and Charles Schwab Cup
points race. He supplants Scott Hoch on both lists and joins
Hoch as the only multiple winner this year. Simpson shot a 75 and Nielsen had a 77. The only other players to break par were Fuzzy Zoeller, who had the low round of the day with a 69, and
64-year-old Bruce Summerhays, who matched Langer's 71. The
final-round scoring average of 76.571 was the highest on the
Champions Tour this season, and the highest since the second round
of the 2007 Senior British Open.
