MIAMI (AP) -- Dwyane Wade is done for the rest of the season.

Miami Heat coach Pat Riley announced today the All-Star guard, who has battled left knee pain throughout the season, will not play in the team's final 21 games.

The Heat have the NBA's worst record at 11-and-50 and Wade decided today the time was right to give him some additional time to heal.

Wade had surgery on his left knee and left shoulder last May. He still intends to be a part of the USA team that will compete in the Beijing Olympics in August.

The 2006 NBA Finals MVP averaged 24.6 points this season, fifth-best in the NBA.
