INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Indiana University is expected to announce the results of its week-long investigation into alleged NCAA rules violations by basketball coach Kelvin Sampson sometime today.
School officials deny a report by Indianapolis television station WTHR that Sampson is on the way out the door and being replaced by assistant coach Dan Dakich.
The NCAA has accused Sampson and some members of his staff of five major recruiting violations over improper telephone calls to high school players.
The 15th-ranked Hoosiers play at Northwestern tomorrow evening.
No Top-25 teams are scheduled to play tonight. Eighteen members of the AP poll are scheduled to take the court tomorrow, including a 1 versus 2 matchup with top-ranked Memphis hosting Tennessee.
