EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Punter Jeff Feagles has signed a 2-year contract with the NFL champion New York Giants. It comes a little more than a week after becoming the oldest player to perform in a Super Bowl.

Feagles turns 42 next month. He represented himself in contract talks.

Feagles spent 20 years in the NFL before making it to the Super Bowl, and says he briefly considered retiring after the Giants' 17-14 victory over the New England Patriots.

The Giants also are close to reaching a five-year, 7-million-dollar contract with kicker Lawrence Tynes, who booted the game-winning field goal in overtime in the NFC title game against the Green Bay Packers.
