MIAMI (AP) -- Quarterback Trent Green and wide receiver Marty
Booker are among nine players cut by the Miami Dolphins. It's the
first significant step in what's expected to be a massive offseason
roster shakeup by the rebuilding franchise.
Other notable cuts by the Dolphins on Monday include tackle L.J.
Shelton and defensive tackle Keith Traylor. Both played key roles
for Miami this past season, when the Dolphins sputtered to a
franchise-worst 1-15 record.
The Dolphins also waived tackle Anthony Alabi, defensive tackle
Anthony Bryant, tackle Marion Dukes, defensive tackle Marquay Love
and tackle Joe Toledo.
This is the first major player purge since Bill Parcells took
over the team's football operations and Tony Sparano was hired as
head coach.
