Gasol's a winner in Lakers debut

Pau Gasol debuted for his new NBA team tonight, and just at the right time for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Gasol scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Lakers beat New Jersey 105-90. Gasol shot 10-for-15 in his first game since being traded by the Memphis Grizzlies over the weekend. He compensated for Kobe Bryant, who scored a season-low six points.

Derek Fisher matched his season high with 28 points as the Lakers improved to 3-and-1 on their seven-game road trip.
