Browns Ink Deal With Head Coach

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Browns coach Romeo Crennel signed a
two-year contract extension today. It's his reward for helping turn
around a franchise in disarray for most of the past decade.
The 60-year-old Crennel still had two years remaining on the
five-year deal he signed in 2005. The extension is believed to be
worth about 4 million dollars per season and takes him through the
2011 season.
The Browns were one of the NFL's surprise teams in 2007. One
season after going 4-and-12, they won 10 games and barely missed
the AFC playoffs.
