More Changes For The Redskins

Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Still without a head coach, the Washington
Redskins have fired assistants Gregg Williams and Al Saunders.
Williams had been the team's defensive coordinator and there was
speculation he'd be a candidate to replace head coach Joe Gibbs,
who stepped down almost three weeks ago.
Greg Blache, who has been the team's defensive line
coach the past four seasons, has been promoted to defensive
coordinator.
The team also announced that former Seattle Seahawks assistant
Jim Zorn will replace Saunders as the team's offensive coordinator.
Regarding the head coaching vacancy, owner Dan Snyder said in a
statement that no hire is planned until after the Super Bowl.
