NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A day after his Titans lost an AFC wild-card game to San Diego 17-6, Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that improving Tennessee's offense was his top priority this offseason. Today, the club took what it hopes is the first step in that direction, firing offensive coordinator Norm Chow. It comes after a season of struggling to score points, even though the Titans reached the playoffs for the first time since 2003.
The Titans ranked 21st overall in total yards and became the only team to reach postseason play in a 16-game season while scoring only nine touchdowns through the air.
Chow had been on staff for three years.
