SAN DIEGO (AP) _-San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers has a sprained ligament in his right knee and is listed as questionable for the AFC title game against New England on Sunday. Coach Norv Turner says Rivers' status is day-to-day.
Rivers was injured on the final play of the third quarter in yesterday's playoff win over Indianapolis. He was replaced by Billy Volek (VOH'-lehk) who led the Chargers on the game-winning touchdown drive.
The outlook seems better for San Diego ace running back LaDainian Tomlinson. He sat out the second half of yesterday's game with a left-knee injury but says he'll be ready to go against the unbeaten Patriots.
