USC Aiken clinches a division title by knocking off GRU Augusta

Augusta, Ga--USC Aiken gets a measure of revenge by beating GRU Augusta on their home court 82-73 as they rally from 20 down in the first half. With the win, the Pacers win the regular season Eastern Division title in the Peach Belt Conference.

GRU Augusta had built a 20 point lead and took a 16 point lead into the half.

But in the second half, the Pacers turned the table outscoring the Jags 57-32 to get the win. The game was tied with under four minutes left, but a couple of technical fouls against GRU Augusta cost them as the Pacers hit the free throws.

Devontae Wright led USC Aiken with 26 points and Ronald Zimmerman added 22 in the winning effort. KJ and Keshaun Sherrill had 15 for GRU Augusta.

Both teams finish out the regular season Saturday with home games.
