Evans, Ga--We have seen an exuberant amount of football changes in the CSRA this year. Not just in shear numbers, but with some big time programs getting new faces at the helm. One of the top jobs is at Thomson and the new man in charge is a familiar face in Rob Ridings.
Ridings comes over from Glynn Academy where he spent 10 years, and prior to that, was with the Bulldog program as offensive coordinator. The task at hand is a little different now he's running things with one of the more storied programs in the state. It's no big secret of what he plans to do.
"We have a lot of work to do, but I like the effort of our kids, I like where we're at right now with the kids and their work habits" said Rob Ridings "We're getting better each day. Passing is not one of the biggest things we're going to do at Thomson, we're going to run the football, but we're also going to be a play action team."
Having been in Thomson in the past, Ridings knows football is a way of life beyond the walls of the Brickyard. It's still a transition period as he's been on the job for a few months but has yet to fully get his family moved. Just six weeks away til practice starts for real.
