AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball standout Ronald Zimmerman has been named the Peach Belt Conference Men’s Basketball AstroTurf Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Zimmerman, a 6-0 guard from Columbia, S.C., had a huge game, lifting the Pacers past No. 22 UNC Pembroke by a 75-58 score Saturday afternoon.
The senior netted a game-high 31 points, which was just three shy of his career best. Zimmerman buried seven three-point shots, which was just one off from tying his career mark.
He added eight rebounds, five steals and two assists while playing all 40 minutes.
Zimmerman has scored more points than any other player in the PBC this season and is eighth in the league in points per game. He also leads the conference in three-pointers made.
