Augusta, Ga--Baseball season may be four months away but the pieces of the GreenJacket front office are now in place. The newest addition is general manager TomDenlinger.
Denlinger takes over for Tom Flannery and comes from the Richmond Flying Squirrels organization and Double A. He'll have his hands full with Augusta seeing there's a lot going on now a days. The team has broken attendence records in the past five years and the new ballpark on the horizon, he knows the challenges are great, especially at this level.
"It's a cliche but one of my bosses in Richmond use to say we're in the memory making business" said new GM Tom Denlinger "So everytime you come out to a game, you're making memories. You're just having a good time. it's a great place for families to come out and enjoy themselves. Have an affordable time and then in the end obviously go home with a memory. Whether it's a foul ball or you got a program on the way in, different things like that"
He officially won't start til the first week in January and knows the season will be here sooner rather then later. Whether it's coming up with new promotions or working with current sponsors, at this level, it's more then baseball and Denlinger know's it takes a lot of hard work.
