Augusta, Ga--While a lot of the spotlight was on the USC Aiken men knocking off GRU Augusta to clinch the division title, Wednesday night's win by the lady pacers was big in itself.
Mike Brandt's team locked up a playoff spot themselves by knocking off the Jaguars. It's a young team that's taken their lumps this year and are still learning how to win. But are doing a lot more of it at the right time.
"You know I have to look at it in my head that we are very young still." said Mike Brandt "But I think the understanding of the game eventually finally caught on with them in the last ten or 12 games and people starting to put little pieces of the puzzle together
Depending on how they make out Saturday, they could be either a three or four seed in the Peach Belt tournament which starts next week in Columbus.
