Augusta, Ga--All year long Glenn Hills has been a team ready for big things. The type of team nobody wants to play because of the weapons they have. One of those weapons is senior Kahlige Fleglar, who had him self a record setting night and it's why he's our Academy Sports and Outdoors player of the week.
The numbers are almost mind boggling. 14 carries, 402 yards and five touchdowns. That's an average of over 28 yards every time Fleglar touched the ball. All his scores 50 plus yards as we believe is a school record. What adds to this being a special night, for the first time since middle school, his mom saw him play.
"Well, it's pretty emotional because my mom came down for homecoming, she doesn't live in Augusta, she lives in Atlanta, so I really had to do my best, you know what I'm saying. I caught it in school that I was going to have a big game, I just felt it" said Kahlige Fleglar
"He had something just on his shoulder that he was ready to go out and put up his best performance yet and he definitely went out and played at a high level all night long" said coach Tim McClain
Fleglar has been on the brink of games like this and actually plays both sides of the ball. Coach Tim McClain says he was a beast on defense as well this week.
