Aquinas gets football championship rings

Augusta, Ga--Five months ago, the Aquinas football team celebrated the schools first ever state championship on the football field. Tonight, the celebration continued with the arrival of their championship rings.

A big crowd was on hand to celebrate the team and their accomplishment, and to pick up a little bling. The night was so special that legendary coach Vince Dooley was on hand for the occasion.

"I'm excited for the football team. The last two or three years they've been knocking on the door and to finally get in and to win them all and to win the state championship, that's what you play for, that's the ultimate and proud to wear the Irish green tonight"

The mayor was also on hand with a special proclimation in honor of the champs as the Irish capped off the special season with a memorable night.
