EVANS, Ga. — Bobby Wyatt of Mobile, Ala., won the The Club Car Junior hosted by Charles Howell III at 11-under-par 205. Victoria Kiser of Orlando, Fla., ran away with the Girls Division title at 2-under-par 214.

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, The Club Car Junior hosted by Charles Howell III was a 54-hole stroke play event being held at Champions Retreat Golf Club. The tournament field consisted of 75 boys and 23 girls, ages 12-18, from 13 states. The Boys Division played the par-72 course at 7,060 yards, while the Girls Division was played at 6,312 yards.

Wyatt entered the final round five shots out of the lead, but closed with six birdies in his final 11 holes for a 7-under-par 65 on the day and a two-shot victory. “I just tried to execute the game plan I had made for the course coming into the tournament,” Wyatt said. “I focused on beating the course and didn’t worry about what my playing competitors were doing.”

Chad Bounds of Meridian, Miss., finished in second at 9-under-par 207. Finishing in a three-way tie for third at 3-under-par 213 were Steven Fox of Hendersonville, Tenn., Will Pearson of Memphis, Tenn., and Jay Vandeventer of Bristol, Tenn.

Victoria Kiser of Orlando, Fla., closed with a round of 1-over-par 73 to win by a staggering 13-shot margin and give her two AJGA victories in the past three weeks. “I’ve just hit some real quality shots and made some putts lately,” Kiser said. “When you’re hitting fairways and greens that always helps.”

Kendall Wright of Suwanee, Ga., placed second at 11-over-par 227 and Erica Popson of Davenport, Fla., rounded out the top-three at 12-over-par 228.
