AUGUSTA---Patrons heading into the Masters today were ready for the rain.

Many people were carrying ponchos and umbrellas in with them, hoping the storms would pass through quickly. Vendors up and down Washington Road were also ready, selling lots of weather gear.

Patrons say a little rain was not going to keep them away from the course.

"I have my rain jacket with me," said Justine Lewis. "I'm hoping it doesn't rain, but I already see the clouds coming in, so we'll see what happens. But if it does, I'm ready for it."

"I know the gift shop might be selling a whole bunch of umbrellas now," she added.

She's right about that. Many people were planning to buy umbrellas inside. We're told they're going for $30 each.

Luckily the rain did not hit National Hills today, so the tournament was not interrupted.
