AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The horn sounded at Augusta National Wednesday afternoon, indicating play had been suspended. As the storm rolled on in, eventually the news came that play would no longer continue.
Padraig Harrington and Jonathan Byrd were declared the winners, tied for first at 5-under with 22 points.
While it's nice to win, it could be a bad omen for these golfers, as no one who has won the Par 3 Contest has gone on to win the tournament in the entire history of the Masters.
Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player completed the first three holes before play was suspended.
