AUGUSTA---It is official. The fun of yesterday has been replaced with the excitement of winning a tournament. 99 of the world's best golfers are now vying for the green jacket.
The players couldn't have asked for a better day. Sure, there's a little breeze, but nothing like we saw two days ago. The course is there for the taking, and there were a lot of red numbers this afternoon.
21-year-old Rory McIlroy finished up with a spectacular 64 at -7. Y.E. Yang was second on the leaderboard at -6 with four holes to go. M. Kuchar, the Georgia Tech product, finished at -4.
Tiger Woods finished at -1. Larry Mize, our local connection to the Masters, finished at +1. Ricky Fowler finished at -2.
