Mickelson makes back-to-back eagles at Masters

April 10, 2010

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) -- Phil Mickelson has become only the third player in Masters history to make back-to-back eagles. He holed out the second one from 139 yards to move within a stroke of leader Lee Westwood.

Mickelson reached the green in two shots at the par-5 13th, then rolled in an 8-foot putt for eagle. But the next hole was really extraordinary. His iron shot from the middle of the fairway plopped down left of the flag and spun back into the cup for an eagle 2.

Lefty joins Dan Pohl (1982) and Dustin Johnson (2009) as the only players to make consecutive eagles at Augusta National.
