AUGUSTA, Ga. --- After a long hiatus, the Par 3 Party is making a return to Masters Week, this time at a new location in downtown Augusta.

Big crowds are expected at the Augusta Common on Wednesday night for a concert and dance floor with live music. Throughout the week, 10,000 people are expected downtown.

"If you are of the older generation, you can sit down and watch. If you are of the moving variety, you can get out there and dance all night. We just talked to a man from North Augusta and he said we won't need a chair because once we start dancing I never sit down." said Brenda Durant, an organizer.

"We're going to have a band from 6:30 to 7, a fashion show from 7:30 to 8, and then the Embers are going to play from 8 until 11. I mean where else can you go and get that kind of entertainment?" Durant said, noting the $10 entry fee. Children under five get in free.

"It has been a success from beginning to end, and we'll be back," said Chris Raeymaeker. He's one of 30 Germans on a bus tour to Augusta, snapping pictures and spending money.

"We gotta spend it somewhere we might as well do it here right," he said.

And this buzz of this year's tournament has also helped.

"I think the Tiger factor has brought a lot of people to town and we want to show our town off." said Ooollee Bricker, a shop owner.

"This is a fun, fun, week to be in Augusta,GA," Durant said.
