Past Masters champs spread wisdom, wit

April 5, 2010

AUGUSTA---One of the coolest things about the Masters is that past champions are always welcome. While their dinner will be held tomorrow night, many of them were already on hand today spreading their words of wisdom and wit.

Two fan favorites, Ben Crenshaw and Fuzzy Zoeller, were both on the course today. There's never a dull moment with Zoeller around; he's always ready with a clever line. Today he didn't disappoint when it comes to the most talked about guy around.

"You know, I don't live with Tiger, so I don't have an idea," Zoeller said. "I think he'll be fine after today. I mean, he's out here with his family now. He's out back there with the boys. I think he'll have a good time."

"I fully expect him to play well," Crenshaw said. "In the past, he's done very well after long layoffs. You know, not many people can do that."

Tomorrow, Angel Cabrera serves as host of the Champions Dinner, and he'll be bringing some of his Argentine cuisine to the table. Boy, to be a fly on the wall for some of those conversations.
