AUGUSTA, Ga.---For all of those folks thinking you need to be a child prodigy to be a pro golfer, I present to you Jason Dufner: a Masters rookie who really never took golf seriously until his teenage years.
It doesn't mean he's lost on the history of the game.
Despite being 33 years old, Dufner idolizes the legendary Ben Hogan. He didn't really watch golf when Watson and Nicklaus were on top. Somehow he was drawn to the legend of Hogan.
"I never met him, I never saw him play but just to hear and read about him, you kind of admire the things he went through and the challenges." said Jason Dufner "How he started and how he kind of developed his game and made it a passion of his."
Dufner is actually pretty confident coming into here. Of course he could always putt better, but who couldn't. He says Augusta National fits his eye.
