Winds pick up on cut day

April 10, 2009

AUGUSTA---It's day two of the Masters, and boy have things changed quickly. The winds have picked up and the scores are headed in the opposite direction, for the most part.

Not a lot of guys have been breaking the 70 mark this afternoon. One guy who's gotten the job done is Chad Campbell. The first round leader had a couple of early birdies and at one point was 11 under. Now, leading the tourney, Campbell sits at -9.

So does Kenny Perry. He was 5 under earlier but is now tied for the lead. Perry was pretty consistent all afternoon.

Let's check the rest of the leaderboard:

C. Campbell -9 (F)
K. Perry -9 (F)
T. Hamilton -6 (F)
A. Cabrera -6 (12)
T. Clark -5 (F)
J. Furyk -5 (10)

Today is cut day, which means once play is over tonight, the field will be trimmed in half.
