Synder's 10th win paces Greenjackets

Augusta, GA – The GreenJackets (50-20, 7-4) won their second straight over the Lexington Legends (31-39, 3-8) with a 7-1 win on Sunday. Starter Ben Snyder won his sixth straight start and Mike McBryde drove in two runs in the win. For the second consecutive night Augusta plated four runs in a game with two outs.

Spartans Win WIFL Title

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Marvin Stone’s fifth touchdown of the night, a 3-yard pass from Mike Rathe with 18.9 seconds remaining, lifted the Augusta Spartans to a 63-60 victory over the Columbus Lions in the inaugural World Indoor Bowl before 3,529 at the Columbus Civic Center Saturday.
