Augusta, Ga--It was a special day for fans at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The San Francisco Giants World Series trophy was on hand for people to see and take pictures with.
As you can imagine, there were plenty of people waiting to get a look at one of sports' most recognizable trophies. Some were longtime Jackets fans who watched a lot of the current Giants come up through Augusta. Others were Giants fans just wanting to be a part of their team's history.
"It's just nice to have those boys growing up here in Augusta. There were five I think in the World Series last year of GreenJackets." said season ticket holder Siggie
"I was pretty excited, and I just happened to have the day off. Normally I work late nights, so this is just perfect. It was meant to be. It's awesome. Really awesome. It's been a really great three years for the Giants. Two out of three isn't bad." added Mark Burt
This is the second time in three years the trophy has come to Augusta
