Watson set to return to RiverHawks

Augusta, GA--The Augusta RiverHawks professional hockey club, proud member of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and reigning Coffey Trophy Champions, is pleased to announce that Kyle Watson will be returning for the 2012-13 season.

The upcoming season will be Watson's second with the 'Hawks. The 6'-1", 200lb. forward netted six goals and 16 assists last season. Watson had the second-highest total number of penalty minutes on the Team with 145.

"Watson is a big, strong presence on the ice. He has many attributes which will assist the Team this season. I'm excited that he is returning for his second season," remarked Rob Miller, RiverHawks' Head Coach.

The Stittsville, Ontario product played college hockey at Adrian College, one of the top Division III programs in the U.S.

"We are looking forward to Kyle's return, as we expect big things from him this season. His gritty, physical style and hard work pay off in every facet of his game. We will be looking for stronger leadership and offensive roles this season from Kyle," commented Mark Richards, RiverHawks' President.

The RiverHawks' open at home on November 2 & 3 at the James Brown Arena. Both games will begin at 7:35PM. Single-game tickets will be on-sale soon. Season tickets and Flex Packs are still available.
