AIKEN, S.C. – In one of the greatest games ever played at the Convocation Center, the regionally second-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball team garnered a thrilling 105-98 double overtime Peach Belt Conference victory over Francis Marion at the Convocation Center.

The double overtime win by the Pacers coupled with an Augusta State loss to Lander obtained the No. 1 seed in the Peach Belt Conference East Division for the Pacers.

The victory also secured a perfect campaign at home during the regular season for USC Aiken (19-6, 13-4 PBC). The Pacers concluded the 2011-12 regular season 14-0 inside the friendly confines of the Convocation Center.

USC Aiken has now finished undefeated at home during the regular season in two of the last five seasons.

USC Aiken’s victory came in a game that featured 13 lead changes. The game was tied 19 times.

AIKEN, S.C. – Kayla Harris and Hannah DeGraffinreed both finished with 23 points and the nationally 10th-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken women’s basketball team picked up a 65-63 Peach Belt Conference win over Francis Marion on Wednesday evening at the Convocation Center.

The Pacer win left the Pacers a perfect 12-0 at home during the 2011-12 regular season. The undefeated slate gives the USC Aiken women’s basketball program its first undefeated home campaign since the 1977-78 season.

The 23 points obtained by Harris (Raleigh, N.C./Wakefield HS) and DeGraffinreed (Raleigh, N.C./Merrimack College) in the contest marked the second time this season that both finished with over 20 points in the same contest.

DeGraffinreed’s Senior Day would become one that she will never forget, as she finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds. She was 11-for-12 from the field en route to the double-double.

The 23 points collected by DeGraffinreed in the game allowed her to go over 1,000 points in her prolific Pacer career.
