LILBURN, Ga. - The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team moved up one spot to a new program-best fourth in the second 2012-13 regular-season USA Today/ESPN Division II top-25 Coaches' Poll.

The Pacers had been ranked fifth in the preseason and first regular-season poll.

Since being ranked for the first time in the 2010-11 season on Dec. 14, 2010, USC Aiken has now been ranked in the top-25 in the last 30 polls (school-record). The Pacers have been ranked in the top-10 in each of the last three years.

USC Aiken is one of two Peach Belt Conference schools ranked inside the top-5 currently with Clayton State just one spot below the Pacers in fifth.

Ashland is still the nation's No. 1 team.

Nationally fourth-ranked USC Aiken is a perfect 4-0 on the young 2012-13 season.

In its only game last week, USC Aiken easily dispatched visiting Florida Tech, 95-58, on Sunday, Nov. 25 at the Convocation Center. The win allowed USC Aiken to claim its school-record 21st straight regular-season home victory.

USC Aiken will close out its season-opening five-game homestand this week by welcoming Benedict (2-2) to the Convocation Center for a 5:30 p.m. game on Saturday, Dec. 1. The contest will be City League Basketball Night at the Convocation Center with all basketball players from the area wearing their jerseys admitted to the game free of charge.
