AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken’s Paul Larsen and Ronald Zimmerman have been named to the 2013-14 Peach Belt Conference preseason all-conference team, as voted on by the league’s head coaches and announced by the league office.

In all, five players were selected to the team representing four different conference schools.

Larsen, a Division II Bulletin preseason All-America honorable mention honoree, earned second-team all-conference accolades a season ago. He also picked up first-team all-region honors by the NABC. The returning senior from Mooresville, S.C., was ranked third in the Peach Belt Conference with nine rebounds per game last year and was sixth in field goal percentage. He accounted for 12.9 points per contest as a junior.

Zimmerman, a native of Columbia, S.C., was a third-team all-conference selection last season. He also picked up Peach Belt Conference all-tournament team honors, along with all-region accolades. Zimmerman notched 15.3 points per game as a junior, canning an NCAA-best 134 three-point shots while connecting on 45.4 percent from downtown. He is 12th on the PBC’s all-time list in three-pointers made and was ninth in the league last year for steals.

The two and the rest of the Pacers hit the court for road exhibition games Nov. 1 (Mississippi) and Nov. 3 (South Carolina – free admission) before opening their season Nov. 8 against P.R.-Bayamon at 7:30 p.m. in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
