Three area players selected for the annual NC-SC Shrine Bowl


The annual North Carolina-South Carolina shrine bowl is coming up at the end of the year., Thursday rosters announced with three area kids being selected.

Among the three, North Augusta offensive tackle Jake Whitley. The Georgia Tech commit leads the offensive line play and has played a key role in the success of the Yellow Jacket offense that keeps piling up the points.

He'll be joined by Saluda's Dexter Wideman. Wideman, picked for a few other all star games has verbally committed to play for Florida State and he'll be joined by Bamberg Ehrhardt's Mr. Everything Kevin Crosby. North Augusta's Dan Pippin is an assistant coach.

The annual Shrine Bowl is December 21st at Wofford.
