Three GreenJackets selected for All Star game

AUGUSTA, GA – The Augusta GreenJackets announced today that three players have been selected for the All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 17th to be played in Hickory, North Carolina. GreenJackets pitcher Matt Lujan will be the starting pitcher for the Southern Division South Atlantic League Roster.

Left handed pitcher, Matt Lujan, is in his second season with the GreenJackets. Lujan (6-2) has an ERA of 1.74. In eight starts this season, Lujan allowed a total of 11 earned runs, only two of those games allowing three runs. Since April 26th, Lujan has pitched at least six innings in each start, and struck out 37 batters.

Luis Ysla has been selected for the bullpen for the Southern Division All Star Roster. Ysla (2-3) has started in nine games this season for the GreenJackets. He has a 2.36 ERA with 31 strikeouts. Since May 7th, Ysla has pitched at least six innings in each start.

GreenJackets outfielder, Tyler Horan, is the third member of the team selected for the All Star Roster. In his first season with the GreenJackets, Horan is batting .281 in 51 games. In 185 at bats, Horan has 16 doubles, five triples and five home runs. He also has 24 RBI and four stolen bases.
