Thomson names new football head coach

Thomson, Ga--The search for a new coach in Thomson has ended. Former assistant and as of late, Glynn Academy head coach Rob Ridings is now in charge of the Bulldog program.

Ridings spent the last 10 years with Terrors out of Brunswick and now returns to some of his roots. He was the offensive coordinator on the 2002 Thomson team that won a state title. Ridings will take over for Milan Turner who resigned a few weeks back and inherits a team that's coming off a tough season.

During his tenure at Glynn, he posted a 67 and 43 record with all but two winning seasons.
