RiverHawks home opener Friday night

Thursday November 1, 2012

Augusta, Ga--After a tough two road games to start the season, the Augusta RiverHawks home opener is set for Friday night at the James Brown Arena.

The Rob Miller era started with a couple of losses in Mississippi but he's confident this team will quickly turn things around. First and foremost, you can't judge a season on two games. Secondly, it takes time to gel when you have such a vast array of talent.

"You have to adjust and sometimes it takes games to get the people you want in here really as well" said coach Rob Miller "As you said you can practice all you want but game situations are totally different"

"It's a new system, new guys coming in, not everyone is use to each other so we're starting to gel this week and looking to pick it up." said Brendan Kosolofsky

Hawks will take on Fayetteville Friday night, Knoxville on Saturday. Have patience folks, in their first year the team started 0 and 3 and wound up playing for the title.
