Augusta, GA--The Augusta RiverHawks professional hockey club, proud member of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and reigning Coffey Trophy Champion, is pleased to announce that defenseman Curtis Megginson will return to Augusta for a third season.
The 23-year old blueliner has spent the past two seasons with the RiverHawks, where he has chipped in 28 points and 50 penalty minutes in those two seasons.
"I am very happy to have Curtis back in a RiverHawks' uniform. I think that his work ethic and leadership will steer our team in the right direction from the first drop of the puck this season," commented RiverHawks' Head Coach, Rob Miller.
The 5'-11" native of North Bay, Ontario, was amongst the top ranks of the Team in plus/minus rating last season with +16.
"Megginson's style and energy have been a positive for the RiverHawks since day one and we look forward to monitoring the continued development of his game," remarked RiverHawks' President, Mark Richards.
Prior to his professional career, Megginson spent time in the Ontario Provincial Hockey League (OPJHL)/ Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL).
