Hephzibah, Ga--It's been a rough go of it for the Rebels of Hephzibah. A winless season 12 months ago, but they did play better late in the season and now are confident in going forward this year.
They'll still have their work cut out for them seeing they'll likely only have about seven seniors on the roster. Underclassmen are getting their chance to prove they belong and are out to prove they can turn this program into a consistant winner.
"We all just try to keep a positive attitude, we don't talk down to each other, we just all stick together like a family" said Tony Griffin
"We were fortunate to end, we did play some of our better ball at the end, had a chance to win a couple of games late, but just didn't quite get it done." said John Bowen "Being so fresh in the taste of kids mouths, the kids want to do well, and you just have to show them the way"
Getting a win early could be paramount and that could be tough. They do open with Josey on the road but then have the likes of Burke County, South Effingham and Liberty County in the upcoming weeks. As long as they continue to believe and do the work, the payoff will be victories.
