Wrens, Ga--Aside from a state title, Jefferson County running back Car'Tabius Quarterman's had one goal for the season and that was to rush for a thousand yards. Only halfway in to a senior season, Quarterman's on pace to shatter his expectation.

For Quarterman's outstanding performance this past friday, he's our Academy Sports and Outdoors player of the week. The guy has been pretty outstanding, and consistant. Through six games, Quarterman has rushed for seven hundred yards and scored three touchdowns this past friday. Like most good backs, he deflects the attention to the guys in front of him.

"It's not all about one player...it's not like last year. We just play as a team and keep working hard." said Car'Tabius Quarterman

"He knows one speed and that's wide open. He does that whether he's blocking or running the ball. He's been money for us all year. Even when teams have focused on him, he's been able to do what he's done." added B.J. Arnold

All year he's been relied upon as the feature back and has produced when called upon to do so. Big reason the Warriors are 6 and 0. 11 touchdowns on the year as he's been Mr. Consistant.

For his efforts this past week, we honor Car'Tabius Quarterman as our Acadmey Sports and Outdoors player of the week.
